Music has always been the heartbeat of Trinidad, but in South Trinidad, talented artists often struggle to find spaces where their voices can truly be heard. That’s why we created South Floor. Not just as another venue, but as a movement to change how our community experiences and supports local music.

South Floor is a grassroots initiative building an ego-free, collaborative space where instrumentalists, vocalists, and music lovers come together through live performance and genuine connection. Our South Floor Sessions are more than jam sessions, they’re healing experiences where spontaneous collaborations happen, new friendships form, and the magic of live music reminds us what community can be.

In just two sessions, we’ve watched something beautiful unfold. Artists who’ve never met are creating music together. Audience members are leaving inspired and connected. We’re proving that when you create the right space with the right intention, incredible things happen. But we’re doing all of this without major funding, grants, or institutional support; just pure passion and a small team committed to serving our community.

Your support makes our vision possible. Every donation directly funds venue rentals and professional sound equipment, ensures our volunteer team has the resources they need to create welcoming experiences, compensates local artists who generously share their talents, produces South Floor merchandise that builds community pride, promotes our sessions so more people can discover amazing local talent, documents performances to give artists lasting exposure and visibility, and keeps every single session completely free to attend.

We believe that financial barriers shouldn’t determine who gets to experience great music or who gets to share their gifts. Whether you contribute $10 or $100, you’re investing in something authentic and transformative: a space where Trinbagonian creativity can flourish without compromise.

If South Floor has inspired you, moved you, or simply made you feel like you belong, we invite you to give what you can. Every dollar helps. Every share helps. Every show of support means the world to us and the artists we serve.
